This is Xigera (pronounced ‘kee-jera’), named for the Pied Kingfisher that makes its home amid the watery channels of Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve.

The Oyster Box has long been famous for its elegant High Tea, served beneath the waving fans and striking chandeliers – purchased from the Savoy Hotel in London – of the Palm Court. Accompanied by the dulcet tones of our resident pianist, guests can enjoy the unhurried High tea experience, served at two sittings each afternoon. Elegant tea stands are served individually to each table, laden with a generous spread that includes savoury bites inspired by local culinary traditions and classic teatime sweet treats including freshly-bakes scones, quiches and cakes.
