The Oyster Box offers two spacious swimming pools; one set amid lush sub-tropical gardens, while the Ocean Terrace pool overlooks the Indian Ocean and iconic lighthouse. The hotel offers direct access to the golden sands of Umhlanga beach, where you can enjoy safe swimming and a wide seafront promenade.

One child 12 years and younger may stay free of charge with two full paying adults, subject to room category and availability

The Holiday Club

For many young travellers The Oyster Box Holiday Club is the highlight of their stay. Open daily from 10am to 7pm, the fully supervised Holiday Club welcomes children aged between 4 and 13 years old. Babysitting is still available on request, and at additional cost. Children can enjoy a wide collection of games, toys and entertainment, including the use of an Xbox and PlayStation, as well as a full programme of activities provided by our trained Holiday Club team. Special programmes are offered during peak periods, including South African school holidays, Easter, Christmas and New Year.

Our Concierge Team is on hand to help you with any requests you may have to make your stay with us even more memorable. Their knowledge of our wonderful multigenerational experiences allows us to provide creative suggestions for activities and arrange special family experiences for you to enjoy. No request is too large and no detail too small.
